Storrington LTC Men's 1st team beat West Worthing Men's 1st team!

 

Head Coach Nigel Matthews and Edward Bugby beat West Worthing 1st pair 7-5, 6-4 in a high quality encounter, probably the best opposition we have faced, and our best performance as a pair thus far. Matthews & Bugby then beat their 2nd pair comfortably 6-1, 6-2.

 

Storrington's 2nd pairing, Scott Wolters and Alex Rainbow, won their vital opening rubber against West Worthing's 2nd pair 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, in a closely contested match, with lots of long rallies. Scott and Alex then lost to their strong 1st pair 6-4, 6-4.

 

So overall Storrington won 3-1 away from home against West Worthing. Great result for the team, as we look to gain promotion for the 3rd straight year in the winter leagues.
