Caroline is the New Sussex Ladies Captain! (October 04, 2008)
Caroline Goldring, Head of Mini Tennis at Storrington LTC has been given the responsibility of captaining the Sussex Ladies County team. She takes over from Julie Hanger who occupied the role for a number of years.
Caroline's first job is to pick a team for Winter County Cup at the end of November. Sussex are in Division 2 of 7 this winter and are hoping to gain promotion to the top division. Group 2 is being held in Sheffield this year.
The format is 6 singles matches and three doubles against a different County three days running. The Sussex team each day will be selected from a squad of ten players. Caroline hopes to integrate some youngsters into the squad to gain experience for future years.
