Weekend to remember for Dom
(January 29, 2010)Dominic Fritche (aged 11) recently achieved a new tennis milestone qualifying for the Winter Indoor Series at Chiswick. The qualifying took place at

Park with Dominic beating Jonah Smith (8.2 rating) 6-3, 6-3 and then Jeremy Gschwendtner (8.1 rating) 6-3, 2-6, 13-11. Jeremy is the highest rated player Dominic has beaten so far. In a nail biting match Dom saved two match points before gaining victory and a place at Chiswick. He now has to play four matches over two days against other U12's who qualified from this region.
Encouraging performances like this will boost Dominic's confidence, and hopefully propel him towards a place in the Sussex U12 team for this summer's County Cup. If Dom continues working extremely hard in training, it's possible he could even be the first Storrington Junior (in recent times) to take part in the Junior National Championships!
