Super Sophie!
(January 25, 2010)Storrington LTC newcomer Sophie Kitson (aged 8) had a weekend to remember.
She reached the final of the Mini Masters at West Worthing on Saturday, and then went on to win the Mini Masters event held at Storrington on Sunday, winning 6 out of 6 matches, and 9 out of 10 for the whole weekend.
Sophie, who is coached by Michelle Collins at Partridge Green, also has a lesson with Caroline and a group lesson with me each week at Storrington. Sophie seems to be really enjoying being part of the club environment at Storrington, and this shows in her tennis in the last 6 months.
Sophie will be looking for more success as part of the U9 team competing in Aegon Team Tennis this summer, against other clubs. In particular she will enjoy the challenge of playing doubles.
