Lewis tops Sussex Leaderboard
(May 28, 2009)Promising Storrington LTC Junior Lewis Emmerson has been rewarded for all his hard work by being selected for a West Sussex squad at West Worthing.
In addition to Lewis' usual training at Storrington he also now attends a weekly group with other promising juniors in is age group. This will provide much needed competition against players of the same age and ability.
We all hope Lewis will continue to enjoy his tennis, and that his learning curve will continue on it's upwards spiral.
Lewis started playing tennis at St Mary's school in Pulborough as a result of Storrington LTC's 'Awards for all' Lottery grant, he then attended an Easter Camp in April 2008 and hasn't looked back since. This winter he topped the Sussex Mini Tennis Master's (Green) Leaderboard.
Already his rating has moved to a Green 1. So in September Lewis will start off as a 9.2 rating. Lewis has now been selected to represent Sussex at County level.
